Dena's Doggie Den
Helping out Mother Earth and Dogs, One T-Shirt at a Time

Our Mission
Dena’s Doggie Den brings attention to local, smaller dog shelters and rescue centers by promoting them on our website and social media to increase awareness, donations, and adoptions. We also sell eco-conscious, dog-themed t-shirts and give a portion of the proceeds to the Featured Facility for that quarter. Our goal is to help as many dog shelters and rescues as possible—in as many ways as possible.
A portion of the profits for all t-shirts sold by Dena's Doggie Den will go to that month's Featured Facility.

Meet Some of Dena's Doggies
Dena's been a dog-lover her entire life—here are some of her cherished four-legged friends over the years—some still with us, some that have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.
Meet Dena

Hi there! My name is Dena, and I'm the owner of Dena's Doggie Den. I'm an animal rescue advocate and dog lover, and am fortunate that my husband is also a huge animal lover.
Throughout our 25 years together, we have been blessed with many dogs and cats—all rescues.
I came up with the concept of Dena's Doggie Den about six years ago, right around the time our beloved yellow lab, Jake, passed away. There's an expression that goes something like, "A dog will give you many great years, and the most horrible day of your life." This is always true, but was especially true with Jake's passing. He was always at my feet and will be forever in my heart.
As I would love to save ALL the dogs, I came up with Dena's Doggie Den to help as many dogs as I can.

The Animal Rescue Site has a "Click to Give" button that you can visit up to 4 times a day and it will provide .5 bowls of food to shelters every time you do. You know you're on the computer anyway. Why not make your clicks count?
-
The Peninsula Pet pantry could always use food, toys, litter and almost any animal-related item as they provide all of these things to local pets free of charge as to not discourage anyone hoping to adopt but may need help starting out.
-
The Virginia PawsitiVAty Initiative’s ultimate goal is to end the importation and sale of puppy mill puppies in Virginia through education, motivation and advocating. Virginia consumers deserve the right to know what kind of breeding operations they are supporting when they purchase a puppy. You can support their cause by writing to your local State Senators and Delegates when they request a "Call to Action," and they even provide a sample email that you can cut-and-paste. Easy-peasy Lemon-squeezy!
-
Wings of Rescue is a donation-supported 501(c)3 public charity that flies abandoned, homeless and at-risk pets from overcrowded shelters and disaster areas to shelters with available space without displacing any locally sheltered pets. The result is that great pets in need of loving homes are brought to welcoming locations where families are eagerly waiting to adopt them.
There are countless ways you can help dogs in need!
Besides buying t-shirts and supporting our Featured Facility each month, there are countless ways you can help that won't cost a thing.
-
You can volunteer at any local shelters; they are always in need of assistance. What better way to scratch that Doggie-itch than to volunteer?
-
If you are unable to adopt a dog right now please consider fostering a dog. A lot of shelters are low on space and could use some Doggie-Love while trying to find dogs their furever homes.

Can you help a doggie out?
